A community focused on student achievement
The Lancaster City School District is required to make up two school days this year. The school district has made up one day so far; Monday, April 21st. The second make up day will be Wednesday, June 4th. School districts are allowed by law to miss 5 days due to severe weather or other calamities. Since we have missed 7 days due to severe weather, we are required to make up two school days. Recent legislation has given extra calamity days for districts that have missed 10 or more days this school year, so our district does not qualify for extra calamity days. Therefore, we will follow the Board of Education adopted calendar and use April 21st and June 4th for our two make up days.
