Junior High Construction Update 3/6/19

At Thomas Ewing, electric wires are being pulled on the first floor of the two story classroom section of the building while electric rough ins and drywall installation continues on the second floor.  In the single story classroom section, first coat painting is complete while sprinkler line and metal roof installation (weather permitted) continue in the main entrance section.  In the gymnasium, the drywall is complete while sprinkler lines, HVAC pipes, HVAC pumps, and metal roof installation is in progress.  HVAC pipe and metal roof installation also continues in the cafeteria section.  The Dedicated Outside Air Supply (DOAS) units, air handlers, and chillers are being installed while permanent electric power is being set.

At General Sherman, the concrete planks to support the second story floor in the two story classroom section have been set in place.  The first floor is being prepared for concrete slab pouring and HVAC water pipe hangars are being installed.  In the main entrance section, the underground plumbing, roof joists, and roof deck are complete and concrete slab preparation is underway.  The concrete slab floor has been poured for the single story classroom section.  In the gymnasium section, underground plumbing is complete and concrete slab preparation is underway.  Underground plumbing is also complete in the cafeteria section.
