This section will provide parents and students who are new to the Lancaster City Schools with the information they need to enroll in the district.
Welcome to Lancaster City Schools - Home of the Golden Gales
Lancaster City Schools operates one high school, two junior high schools and eight elementary schools. Please register your child directly at your home school. We do not offer central registration. For district boundaries, please refer to the district map below. If you have specific questions concerning school placement, please call 740-687-7300.

You will need to bring the following documents to register your child:

Child's birth certificate

Child's social security card

Custody papers (if applicable)

Parent/Legal Guardian's ID

Two proofs of residency (phone/electric/utility bill, etc.) If you are residing with someone and don't have bills in your own name, please submit a notarized letter containing the following items: Your name, child's name, address, name of person you are residing with and two proofs of residency of the person you are residing with.
For your convenience, you may print out the registration forms below. Only the Parent or Legal Guardian can register the student. It has to be done in person. Please call if you have any questions.
During summer break you may register your child at our Administrative Offices on 345 East Mulberry Street (Door# 4) between 7:00 AM and 3:30 PM. For questions on summer registration, please contact the Career Tech Office at 740-687-7390.
