West Elementary Fifth Grade Student, Mayzie Black, Chosen as State of Ohio Finalists in the 2012 Kids Safe Online Poster Contest

Fifth grade students at West Elementary School participated in the 2012 Kids Safe Online Poster Contest. The State of Ohio and the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC) received over 1,000 poster submissions from 47 different schools in Ohio. The posters illustrated the safe and secure use of the Internet by young people and were judged on creativity, originality, and poster concept in illustrating. Only nine entries from Ohio were submitted to the national contest.

Mayzie Black, a fifth grade student at West Elementary, is one of Ohio’s nine entries to the national contest. The winners of the national contest will have their artwork included in a 2013 MS-ISAC Cyber Security Calendar. All nine Ohio finalists’ posters can be viewed at http://www.InfoSec.ohio.gov/
