The Lancaster City Schools’ Board of Education held a special board meeting on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 4:00 pm to discuss the three final Superintendent candidates. We are happy to announce that effective August 1, 2012; Steve Wigton will be the next Superintendent of Lancaster City Schools.
Steve's 15 years as an administrator, his experiences and knowledge of the total district operations, give him the leadership ability needed to maximize student achievement, continue to engage our community, work with our wonderful team, remain fiscally responsible, build new facilities for our students and staff and to move this Excellent district forward.
We thank you for your concern, patience and input during the selection process.
