Junior High Construction Update 1/23/19

At Thomas Ewing the front entrance of the building and the walls at the mechanical courtyard are almost finished. The brick work for the entire building is approximately 90% complete. Domestic water lines are being completed in the building.  Electrical rough in has passed inspection and the drywall is being installed in the first floor classrooms.  Permanent power is also being installed.  The fire sprinkler system is continuing to be installed in the two story classroom section of the building.  The membrane roofing is complete on the building and the metal roofing is being installed. The chilled beam units are on site and ductwork throughout the building has passed inspection.

At General Sherman, the building pad in all three front sections of the building are ready for the concrete floors to be poured.  The interior concrete masonry block walls are continuing to go up in the two story classroom section.  The underground plumbing is complete in the two story classroom and main entrance sections of the building and is being installed in the single story classroom section.  Under slab electric installation is also complete in the two story classroom and main entrance sections. A crane is now on site and the setting of steel begins this week.
