Junior High Construction Update 5/1/19

At Thomas Ewing, cabinetry is being installed in the single story classroom section science rooms and ceiling grid is being installed in the hallway.  In the cafeteria section, the block fill and first coat of paint is complete while sprinkler system branch lines, technology wires, and electrical rough in installation continues.  The ceiling grid and drywall installation is complete in the first floor of the two story classroom section while chilled beam units, technology wire and HVAC controls wire are being installed.  The domestic water lines are complete on the second floor and in the main entrance sections.  In the gymnasium section, electrical and technology wires are being pulled.  Also, operable windows are being installed, exterior brick is being cleaned, and the turn lane is being prepared.

At General Sherman, internal concrete block installation is complete in the single story classroom and main entrance sections of the building.  Spray foam insulation is being applied on the exterior concrete block in the main entrance section.  Roof decking is complete on the second floor while internal concrete block walls, in wall plumbing, and overhead electrical conduit are being installed.  On the first floor, overhead air duct and HVAC pipe rough ins are in progress.  The concrete slab floor has been poured for the gymnasium and student dining areas.
